Sari Krosinsky has delivered an epic poem in the spirit of the The Bhagavad Gita. Imagine life from the point of view of a God. Time is not a limit, but loving a mortal has an expiration date. My favorite line is “Forever is too long”. Read A God’s Life today! Robert Grant author of Naked Tao and The Nostrum Conspiracy.
The three most powerful words we can speak are: “I am ___,” where we fill in the blank with the third word of our own choosing. We create our lives with this simple incantation. It is a magic spell that works every time, so it is important to be careful how we use it.
There is danger in the careless use of the phrase. For example, saying something like “I am afraid” seems pretty ordinary, but it defines us as being fearful. None of us want to become the thing we fear. It is just as easy to say something like, “I am strong and I will get through this”.
Since you can fill in the blank with any word of your choice, then ask yourself, “What do I want to become?” This is one simple practical application of the creative juice we all have.

Years ago, during a difficult period of my life, I sat in a sweat lodge with a Native American Shaman and listened to his prayers and words of wisdom as sweat poured from me. Sweat Lodge is a sacred practice of cleansing and reconnection with spirit. The shaman began with a simple prayer, “Oh Great Spirit, I come to you with a grateful heart and a prayer for those I love.” This simple prayer sets a tone of gratitude and respect for the power of giving.
If we aren’t careful, we sometimes find ourselves thinking too much about the things missing from our lives. If left unchecked, this pattern of thinking creates a culture of scarcity. The simple solution is to shift our thoughts to the many things we have to be grateful for. Focusing on these riches has the power to wipe away all thoughts of scarcity.
Knowing our true measure of wealth makes it much easier to shift our thoughts to the needs of those we love. There is tremendous healing power in acts of service to those we love.
Rebecca and I have much in common, but there is one thing we differ on. Rebecca loves the feel of a book in her hands. She wants to curl up next to the fire and turn pages. Me, well, I love that too, but I also embrace new technology. I think it is amazing that our smartphones can do many things, including carry a small library of eBooks.
Today’s picture is The Nostrum Conspiracy on an Android 6s smartphone. It is a joy to read a book on this phone, but sadly Rebecca clings to paper.
Our home is full of books. We love them and they spill off the shelves and find themselves in stacks next to the bed, on the coffee table and even on the kitchen counter. I love that, but I also love standing in the grocery line and reading a chapter on my phone.
The 21st century has brought us many wonders and one of them is the choice of paper or plastic. So friends, what do you prefer, eBooks or paper?
The Nostrum Conspiracy Book Review
In his second novel, The Nostrum Conspiracy, Louisville-based Author, Robert Grant, continues the saga of Grant, a young, up-and-coming Attorney and Grant’s childhood sweetheart, Ginny, now a successful International Business Woman. The two of them unwittingly find themselves in the middle of a healthcare industry conspiracy.
On page One, Grant wakes up in the hospital only hours after a shoot-out in which he believes all the family he has left are killed. He immediately begins plotting his revenge and, so, begins his journey from hospital psych ward to Amazonian rainforest to an ancient, hidden cavern and a tribe of people calling themselves The Guardians.
Ginny disappears fairly early in the novel to begin her own quest to find the father she hasn’t seen since she was eight years old.
Grant and Ginny are reunited in the Amazon rainforest where their intertwined destinies are revealed.
The characters in this book are rich and complex and, oftentimes, funny. The setting is both gritty and fascinatingly lush and dangerous.
Robert Grant keeps you on the edge of your seat with every unexpected twist of this offbeat tale that keeps the pages turning. This book is a pleasure to read and I’m not just saying that because I’m his wife.
